Adventistische Schriften über: "Will the animals also be resurrected at the Second Coming?"
Answer
There are differing views in Adventist writings on this question, with the biblical basis for an animal resurrection being critically examined. While some authors emphasize that Holy Scripture does not mention a resurrection for lower animals, others refer to the restoration of creation in the new earth, where the animal kingdom will assume a changed nature. Ultimately, the redemption of the entire “sighing creature” is seen as part of Christ’s rule in the future world.
\n\nPerspectives on Resurrection and the Animal Kingdom
\n\n\n\n\nThe concept of sleep implies not only a state of unconsciousness of every part and every power of body, soul, and spirit; but also a future awakening or a resurrection or reanimation of man with the restoration of all his abilities and powers; however, there is no resurrection of lower animals referred to in any of the books of the Old or New Testament.
\n\nEverything that is written in the Bible speaks for the restoration of the irrational creation; but I know of nothing, from Genesis to Revelation, that contradicts this and says it will not be so. I have long regarded Mr. Wesley's argument on this topic, namely the restoration of animals in the new earth, as convincing and irrefutable, and I still do so.
\n\nWhen Jesus comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels, the faithful dead will first be resurrected. This is what we Christians call the first resurrection. Then the animal kingdom will change its nature and be subject to Jesus. Universal peace will reign.
\n\nWe also know that animals were in the Garden of Eden when all things there were holy and before sin entered the world; we also cannot say that they will be more out of place in the new earth than there. It is therefore proven that... it is not an argument that in the slightest can speak against the eternal millennium; although we may not be able to satisfactorily decide whether those passages are to be taken in their full literal meaning or have a figurative expression.
\n\nAfter the sounding of the seventh trumpet comes the resurrection... No perishable bodies will remain (animals, plants, minerals, and mixed bodies), but only the elements, the heavenly bodies, and man.
