What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "Will Satan literally cause fire to fall from the sky at the end of time?"
Answer
Yes, according to Adventist writings Satan will indeed have the power at the end of time to perform miracles and cause fire to fall from the sky. These deceptive maneuvers are intended to lure people and give the appearance that his power is of divine origin. Believers are urged to hold firmly to God so as not to succumb to these great signs and miracles of the devil.
Satan's Power to Deceive Through Fire
»I saw that Satan's power would increase and that some of his devoted followers would have the ability to perform miracles and even cause fire to descend from the sky before the eyes of people. I was shown that these modern magicians would still explain all the miracles performed by our Lord Jesus Christ through knocking and mesmerism, and many would believe that all the mighty works of the Son of God, when He was on earth, were accomplished by the same power.«
Miracles and Fire in the Final Warning
»Satan also works with deceitful miracles, even causing fire to descend from the sky before the eyes of people. Thus the inhabitants of the earth are compelled to take a stand. The message will be carried not so much by arguments but rather by the deep conviction of the Spirit of God.«
Imitation of Divine Power Shortly Before Redemption
»I was taken back to the time of Moses and saw the signs and miracles that God performed through him before Pharaoh, most of which were imitated by the Egyptian magicians; and that God would act powerfully for His people shortly before the final deliverance of the saints, allowing these modern magicians to imitate God's work. This time, I saw, would soon come, and we must hold fast to the strong arm of Jehovah; for all these great signs and mighty miracles of the devil are designed to deceive and overthrow God's people.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
