Adventistische Schriften über: "Why does God not intervene to prevent evil?"
Answer
God did not destroy evil and its instigator Satan immediately, because He desires a service from His creatures that is based on free love rather than fear. Evil must reach maturity and reveal its destructive consequences, so that the entire universe can comprehend the nature of rebellion and the righteousness of divine laws. In this way, God's wisdom, justice, and mercy will be above all doubt forever at the final eradication of sin.
The Necessity of Revealing the Nature of Evil
»Even when it was decided that he could no longer remain in heaven, the infinite wisdom did not destroy Satan. Since only service out of love is acceptable to God, the loyalty of His creatures must rest on the conviction of His righteousness and goodness. ... Had he been eliminated from existence immediately, they would have served God out of fear rather than love. The influence of the deceiver would not have been completely destroyed and the spirit of rebellion would not have been fully eradicated. Evil had to reach maturity. For the good of the entire universe through endless ages, Satan had to fully develop his principles so that his accusations against the divine government would be seen by all created beings in their true light, and so that God's justice and mercy and the unchangeability of His law would forever be above all doubt.«
God's Far-Reaching Plan in Dealing with Rebellion
»God, the One who is infinite and all‑wise, sees the end from the beginning, and in dealing with evil His plans were far‑reaching and comprehensive. It was His intention not merely to crush rebellion, but to bring the nature of rebellion before the entire universe. God's plan unfolded to display both His justice and His mercy and to fully justify His wisdom and righteousness in His dealings with evil.«
Why God Allows the Work of the Ungodly
»He does not forget or neglect His children; but He allows the ungodly to reveal their true character, so that no one who wishes to do His will is deceived by them. ... God permits the ungodly to prosper and to disclose their hostility toward Him, so that all may see His justice and mercy at their complete destruction, when they have fully realized the measure of their injustice.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
