The tithes should be faithfully brought to His treasury or storehouse according to God's command. It is holy and expressly designated for the support and livelihood of preachers, missionaries, and gospel workers at home and abroad. Believers must not retain the tithe for themselves nor divert it arbitrarily for other purposes.
The tithe belongs in the treasury to support the gospel workers
»But a great error is made when the tithe is taken away from the purpose for which it is to be used – the support of preachers. ... The tithe is holy, reserved by God for Himself. It should be brought into His treasury to be used to support the gospel workers in their work. For a long time the Lord has been deprived because there are people who do not recognize that the tithe is God's reserved portion.«
