What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "Where did the Israelites get the materials for the sanctuary in Exodus 25:1–8?"
Answer
The materials for the sanctuary came from the voluntary gifts of the Israelites. They had brought gold, silver, and bronze from Egypt; other materials came from their own flocks and herds and from the wilderness, among other sources.
Oils and incense were made from available substances. Spices and precious stones were in the possession of the heads of families and tribes.
Origin of the Materials
»The materials contributed for the sanctuary were gold, silver, and bronze, which they had brought from Egypt; fabrics of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine white linen, for the manufacture of which Egypt was famous; goat-hair fabric and rams' skins from their own flocks; badgers' skins, which were plentiful in the region of the Red Sea; wild acacia trees grew abundantly in the wilderness itself; oils and incense were made from available substances; spices, jewelry, and precious stones were in the possession of the heads of families and tribes.«
Voluntary Gifts for the Sanctuary
»Extensive and costly preparations were necessary for the construction of the sanctuary; a great quantity of the most valuable and expensive materials was needed. Yet the Lord accepted only voluntary gifts. “From everyone who gives it willingly from the heart, you shall take My offering,” was the divine command that Moses repeated to the congregation.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
