What does Ellen White write about...

Ellen Gould White über: "When must we be holy and sinless?"

Answer

According to the available writings, we must be holy and sinless before Jesus ends His intercession in the heavenly sanctuary. When Christ completes His work as Mediator, the eternal condition of each person is decided—no further change will be possible. Those who are on earth at that time must stand “without blemish” before God, for they will have no Mediator during the ensuing time of tribulation.

\n

The preparation must take place now, during the present time of grace. The writings emphatically stress that the testing period is near its end and now is the time to form pure and holy characters. Whoever neglects the necessary preparation will be without refuge in the time of tribulation.

Holiness before the End of the Intercession

\n\n

»Those who are on earth when Christ's intercession in the heavenly sanctuary ceases shall stand before the face of a holy God without a Mediator. Their garments must be spotless, their characters must be cleansed of sin by the blood of the sprinkling.«

\n\n

No Second Chance after the End of the Time of Grace

\n

»I saw that many neglected the necessary preparation and looked to the time of “refreshment” and “late rain” to make them capable of standing on the day of the Lord and living before His face. Oh, how many I saw in the time of tribulation without refuge! They had neglected the necessary preparation; therefore they could not receive the refreshment that all must have in order to live before the face of a holy God.«

\n\n

Character Must Be Completed before Leaving the Sanctuary

\n

»When Jesus leaves the sanctuary, those who are holy and righteous will remain holy and righteous; for all their sins will then be erased, and they will be sealed with the seal of the living God. But the unjust and unclean will remain unjust and unclean; for then there will be no priest in the sanctuary to present their sacrifices, confessions, and prayers before the Father's throne.«

\n\n

Fully Reflect the Image of Jesus

\n

»I also saw that many did not understand what they must be in order to live in the presence of the Lord during the time of tribulation without a High Priest in the sanctuary. Those who receive the seal of the living God and are protected in the time of tribulation must fully reflect the image of Jesus.«

\n\n

Now is the Time of Preparation

\n

»Now is the time of preparation. The seal of God will never be placed on the forehead of an unclean man or an unclean woman. It will never be placed on the forehead of an ambitious, world‑loving man or a world‑loving woman. All who receive the seal must be spotless before God—candidates for heaven.«

\n\n

The End of the Testing Period

\n

»But the testing period for those who choose to live in sin and neglect the great offer of salvation ends when Christ's ministry ceases, shortly before He appears in the clouds of heaven.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
