Ellen Gould White über: "When is someone entered into the Book of Life?"
Answer
A name is entered in the Book of Life as soon as a person yields to God, dedicates his life to God's service, and becomes a child of God. Converted students who break away from sin and enter into a right relationship with God are also recorded there. Thus the book includes the names of all persons who have ever entered into God's service and have received forgiveness through faith in Christ.
Entry and Staying in the Book of Life
»When we become children of God, our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life, and they remain there until the time of the investigative judgment. Then the name of each individual is called and his record examined.«
»The Book of Life contains the names of all who have ever entered into God's service. Jesus commanded his disciples: “Rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”«
»The converted student has broken the chain that bound him to the service of sin and has entered into a right relationship with God. His name is entered in the Lamb's Book of Life.«
»The names of all those who have once given themselves to God are written in the Book of Life, and their characters are now being examined before Him. God's angels weigh the moral value.«
»All who have sincerely repented of sin and, in faith, have claimed the blood of Christ as their atonement have had forgiveness entered beside their names in the books of heaven; having become partakers of Christ’s righteousness and having their characters found in accordance with God’s law, their sins are erased...«
