What does Ellen White write about...

Adventistische Schriften über: "What to do when corrective pastoral care is not possible?"

Answer

When all efforts to correct or save a wayward person prove futile, one should trustfully place the matter in God's hands and cease to worry about it. One should continue to treat the person kindly, leave the responsibility to God, and calmly turn to other duties, rather than become bitter or speak ill of them behind their back.

Leave the wayward to God and treat them kindly

»All your efforts to save the wayward may be in vain. They may repay you evil for good. They may be more angry than convinced... If the wayward remain in sin, treat them kindly and entrust them to your heavenly Father. You have saved your soul; their sin no longer rests upon you. You now have no share in their sins.«

Entrust the matter to God and attend to other duties

»After you have done everything you could to save your brother, cease to worry and calmly attend to other pressing duties. It is no longer your concern, but God's. Do not cut the knot of difficulty out of impatience, making things hopeless. Let God untangle the tangled threads for you. He is wise enough to guide the complications of our lives.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
