Adventistische Schriften über: "What must you change so that you can experience Christ's preeminence in your life more fully?"

Answer

To experience Christ's preeminence more fully, you must primarily submit your own “self” and your own will to God. This requires a daily surrender in which Christ takes the first, last, and best place in every area of your life. True transformation occurs as you empty yourself of selfishness and allow the Holy Spirit to reshape your entire being, your heart, and your character according to the divine model.

Establishing Christ's Preeminence in Life

\n
Make Christ the First, the Last, and the Best in everything. Continually look to Him, and your love for Him will grow deeper and stronger each day as it is tested.
\n\n
Our Redeemer claims far more than we give Him. The self pushes forward with its desire to be first; but the Lord claims the whole heart, the entire affection. He will not enter as a second. ... When the heart, soul, strength, and life are wholly consecrated to God, when affection belongs entirely to Him, we will place Him above all in all our service.

Through the proper exercise of the will, a complete transformation in your life can be effected. By surrendering your will to Christ, you connect with the power that stands above all principalities and powers. You will receive strength from above that keeps you steadfast, and thus, through continual dedication to God, you will be enabled to lead the new life, the life of faith.

The battle against the self is the greatest battle ever fought. Giving up the self, subordinating everything to God's will, requires a fight; but the soul must submit to God before it can be renewed in holiness.
\n\n
We cannot retain our own self while simultaneously being filled with the fullness of God. We must be emptied of the self. When heaven is finally won for us, it will be only through the denial of the self and by receiving the mindset, spirit, and will of Christ Jesus.
\n\n
When the self strives for the highest place, spiritual perceptions become clouded. The eyes are turned away from Christ toward the meager image of the self. We cannot afford to be separated from Christ. We must look to Jesus, the Initiator and Finisher of our faith.
