Adventistische Schriften über: "What is the revelation of the mystery of Christ?"

Answer

The revelation of the mystery of Christ encompasses God's eternal plan of redemption, which was made visible through the Incarnation and the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This mystery reveals God's self‑less character and His love as a counter‑design to Satan's deceptions. It also includes the work of Christ in the believer (“Christ in you”), whereby the divine nature is manifested in human life.

The Incarnation as a great mystery

»The doctrine of Christ becoming flesh in human flesh is a mystery, “yes, the mystery that was hidden for eons and generations”. It is the great and deep mystery of godliness. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Christ took on human nature, a nature that was subordinate to His heavenly nature. Nothing displays the wonderful humility of God as much as this.«

The eternal plan of redemption

»The plan for our redemption was not a later impulse, not a plan formulated only after Adam's fall. It was a revelation of the “mystery that had been concealed since eternal ages”. It was an unfolding of the principles that, from everlasting ages, formed the foundation of God's throne. From the beginning, God and Christ were aware of Satan's rebellion and the fall of man.«

Christ in the believer

»The mystery of the gospel is Christ in the believer, the hope of glory. ... Christ does not stand apart and merely set forth correct principles for us to follow; rather He impresses Himself upon us, takes possession of us when we surrender to Him, and reveals His life in our mortal flesh.«

The mystery of grace in Eden

»The mystery of the gospel was spoken in Eden when God said to the serpent: “I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed; he shall crush your head, and you shall strike his heel.” ... The Lord had revealed the purpose and plan of the mystery of grace, explaining that Christ was to crush the serpent under His feet.«

The definition of God's mystery

»The “mystery of God”, the “mystery of Christ”, etc. is nothing more and nothing less than the gospel of Jesus Christ, through which the Gentiles are brought to become members of the community of Israel and partakers in the household of faith. Completing this mystery would be the culmination of the proclamation of the gospel.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
