What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "What is the difference between religion and the life of a child of God in God's power?"
Answer
The difference between religion and the life of a child of God in God's power lies in the fact that religion can be merely an external form, in name or mere agreement with the truth, while the life of a child of God means having the mind of Christ, submitting to God's will in everything, and experiencing the living power of the Holy Spirit in the heart. One who has only the form of godliness without power is not a true Christian. The true child of God accepts Christ through faith, and his life is transformed by God's power, not merely by words or customs.
Religion as mere form versus life in God's power
»It is not in the name, but having the mind of Christ, submitting to God's will in all things; for many, religion is merely a form. Vital godliness is lacking.«
The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power
»The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.«
Simple agreement with the truth is not biblical religion
»Simple agreement with the truth is not biblical religion; the form of godliness without spirit and power is insufficient. The Holy Spirit will convey the precious truth as living power into an obedient heart.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
