Ellen Gould White
What does Ellen White write about...
Ellen Gould White über: "What is said about the armor of God?"
Answer
The armor of God is intended to enable Christians to resist the devil’s attacks and stand firm in faith. It includes truth, righteousness, readiness for the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God. The quotations also emphasize that every piece is important, and that prayer and the study of Scripture contribute to spiritual strength.
The individual pieces of the armor
»“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. […] Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, take the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.”«
Truth and Christ’s righteousness
»“Make the word your guide. ‘Take’ it. The whole armor provided for you in the Scriptures is prepared for you to take. […] ‘Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth.’ […] ‘Having put on the breastplate of righteousness’—not your own, but the righteousness of Christ. This is the soul’s fortress.”«
Every piece is important
»“When we go into battle, it is not safe for us to throw away our weapons. It is then that we must be equipped with the whole armor of God. Every single piece is essential.”«
Prayer and Scripture study as spiritual strengthening
»“Those who put on the whole armor of God and devote some time each day to meditation, prayer, and the study of the Scriptures will be connected with heaven and exert a saving, transforming influence on those around them.”«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
