In the Bible we find reports about great and kind people who faced the same challenges, sufferings, and sins as we do today. Although they went through hard times, they did not give up, but were able, through God's grace, to achieve victory.
These biblical role models serve to encourage us, in our own efforts to live like the Savior, not to slacken. As we read how God wonderfully guided and blessed them, a desire awakens in us to also walk in close fellowship with God.

They sinned as we have; but they did not give up. Through God's grace they were able to overcome. We look at these people and are encouraged to keep trying to live as our Savior lived.«
