What does Ellen White write about...

Adventistische Schriften über: "What does Paul say about the soon coming of the Lord according to 1 Corinthians 15:51 and 1 Thessalonians 4:15?"

Answer

Paul teaches that at the last trumpet, the dead who are in Christ will be raised, incorruptible and immortal, and that the living who remain will be transformed in an instant, to be caught up with the resurrected in the clouds to meet the Lord. This expectation forms the assurance of the Christian hope that earthly life will pass into eternal, incorruptible life when the Lord returns. Scripture assures that the resurrection of the righteous will occur first, and then the living will be reunited with them.

Paul's teaching on the soon coming of the Lord

»Behold, I show you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this perishable must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those who sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we tell you by the word of the Lord: We who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall be with the Lord forever.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
