Adventistische Schriften über: "What does it mean to have the faith of Jesus?"
Answer
Having the faith of Jesus means placing an unwavering trust in the Word of God and accepting Jesus as a personal Savior who has borne our sins. It is far more than a mere intellectual assent to doctrines; it is a living experience that places the whole being under Christ's guidance and results in His character being reflected in us. This faith encompasses the entire teaching of Jesus in the New Testament and enables us, through His righteousness, to keep God's commandments out of love.
The Meaning of Jesus' Faith
»Having the faith of Jesus means far more than merely intellectually acknowledging the truth or believing facts about God, as the demons also do. It is the faith of Jesus that trusts that God's Word accomplishes exactly what it says, and that this Word has the power to transform our character. The faith of Jesus is that faith which believes God's Word is true, lets this Word work powerfully within us, and fully submits to this work.«
Faith as Part of the Threefold Angelic Message
»The message of the third angel is the proclamation of God's commandments and the faith of Jesus Christ. The faith of Jesus consists in Christ becoming our sin-bearer to be our sin-forgiving Savior; He took our sins upon Himself so that we could receive His righteousness. Faith in Christ's ability to save us abundantly, completely, and wholly is the faith of Jesus.«
The Faith of Jesus Encompasses the Entire New Testament
»It was mistakenly taught that the faith of Jesus is merely the healing of the sick; however, it encompasses all of Jesus' teachings in the New Testament. To have “God's commandments and the faith of Jesus” means to accept the entire New Testament that pertains to Jesus.«
A Living Surrender and Transformation
»Justifying faith in Jesus Christ is an act of the soul whereby the whole person is surrendered to the care and control of Jesus Christ. Through this faith, Christ dwells in the soul, and the believer entrusts his body and spirit to Him. Such a living faith leads to an increase in power and a trusting confidence in God, through which the soul becomes a victorious force and reflects the character of Christ.«
Trust in God and Devotion
»No person can have faith in Jesus who is not willing to give up everything for Him. He gave us everything, and He takes everything. This is the faith of Jesus—the faith that believes God's Word is true, that allows God's Word to work powerfully within us, and that fully submits to this work.«
The Cooperation of Faith and Obedience
»Faith and works belong together; faith and action are intertwined. To meet the requirements of the law, our faith must grasp Christ's righteousness and accept it as our own righteousness. Through faith, the Holy Spirit works in the heart to create holiness there; however, this cannot happen without the person cooperating with Christ.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
