What does Ellen White write about...

Ellen Gould White über: "What does Ellen White write about the salvation of Israel in the end times?"

Answer

Ellen White emphasizes that in the final proclamation of the gospel many Jews will accept Christ as their Savior when the gospel is presented to them in its fullness. God has indeed abandoned the Jewish nation as a whole, yet He wonderfully preserves individuals so that they may recognize the truth through the connection of the Old and New Testaments. These converted Jews will play a significant role in proclaiming God's law with great power and preparing the way for Christ's coming.

The Awakening of the Jewish People

»In the final proclamation of the gospel, when a special work is to be done for previously neglected classes of people, God expects His messengers to show a special interest in the Jewish people, whom they will find in all parts of the earth. When the writings of the Old Testament are merged with those of the New in an explanation of Jehovah's eternal counsel, this will be for many Jews like the dawning of a new creation, the resurrection of the soul. When they see and perceive Christ of the evangelical age of salvation depicted on the pages of the Old Testament scriptures, and how clearly the New Testament explains the Old, their dormant abilities will be awakened, and they will recognize Christ as the Savior of the world. Many will, by faith, accept Christ as their Redeemer. To them the words will be fulfilled: “As many as received Him, He gave them the power to become children of God, those who believe in His name.”«

Powerful Proclaimers of the Law

»Among the Jews there are some who, like Saul of Tarsus, are powerful in the Scriptures, and they will proclaim the immutability of God's law with wonderful power. The God of Israel will bring this about in our days. His arm is not too short for Him to be unable to save. When His servants work in faith for those who have long been neglected and despised, His salvation will be revealed.«

Conversion of Many Jews to the Messiah

»When this gospel is presented to the Jews in its full fullness, many will accept Christ as the Messiah. Among Christian preachers there are only a few who feel called to work for the Jewish people; but the message of grace and hope in Christ is to reach those who have often been overlooked, as well as all others.«

A Remnant Will Be Saved

»Thus Paul shows that God is exceedingly able to transform the hearts of Jews and Gentiles alike and to grant each believer in Christ the blessings promised to Israel. He repeats Isaiah's declaration about God's people: “If the number of the children of Israel were like the sand of the sea, yet only a remnant will be saved; for He will complete the work and shorten it in righteousness; for a shortened work the Lord will do on earth. And as Isaiah previously said: If the Lord of Hosts had not left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom and been made like Gomorrah.”«

Individual Conversion Rather Than National Salvation

»The blood of Christ and the disciples, whom they had killed, was upon them, and they were visited by terrible judgments. God's curse followed them, and they became a proverb and a mockery to the Gentiles and so‑called Christians. They were humbled, shunned, and despised, as if the mark of Cain were upon them. Yet I saw that God has wonderfully preserved this people and scattered them throughout the whole world so that they would be seen as especially visited by God's curse. I saw that God has abandoned the Jews as a nation; but that individuals among them are still being converted and placed in a position to tear the veil from their hearts and see that the prophecy concerning them has been fulfilled; they will accept Jesus as the Savior of the world and recognize the great sin of their nation in having rejected and crucified Him.«

An Important Role in Preparation

»There will be many Jews converted, and these converts will help prepare the Lord's way and make a level path in the wilderness for our God. Converted Jews are to play an important role in the great preparations to be made in the future to receive Christ, our Prince. A nation will be born in a day. How? By men whom God has called being converted to the truth. One will see: “First the stalk, then the ear, then the full wheat in the ear.” The prophecies will be fulfilled. The day of the Lord will come suddenly, unexpectedly, while people are sleeping. Read: “Behold, I send you as sheep among wolves; therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”«
