What does Ellen White write about...
Ellen Gould White über: "What does E. G. White write about each individual's responsibility to serve God?"
Answer
E. G. White writes that God entrusts a task for others to everyone who receives His grace. Each person is accountable to God for the use of their abilities, regardless of occupation or position. This personal service cannot be fully delegated to organizations: it is expressed, for example, in helping those in need, sharing the gospel, and faithfully fulfilling everyday duties.
Everyone has a task
»To everyone who becomes a partaker of His grace the Lord appoints a work for others. Each of us is to stand in our place, saying, “Here am I; send me.” Upon the minister of the word, the missionary nurse, the Christian physician, the individual Christian, whether merchant or farmer, professional man or mechanic—the responsibility rests upon all. It is our work to reveal to people the gospel of their salvation.«
Personal responsibility, not service by proxy
»Christ entrusts to His followers a personal work—a work that cannot be done by proxy. Ministry to the sick and the poor, and the sharing of the gospel with the lost, must not be left to committees or organized charities. Personal responsibility, personal effort, and personal sacrifice are the requirements of the gospel.«
Serving God in everyday life
»Active service for God is directly connected with the ordinary duties of life, even with its least tasks. We are to serve God just where He places us. He is to assign each of us our place, not we ourselves. Perhaps service in the home is the place we are to occupy for a time, if not always.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
