What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "What are the old and new covenants?"
Answer
The “old covenant” refers to the covenant God made with Israel at Sinai. It placed obedience in the foreground as a condition, but the people were unable to keep it. The “new covenant” is based on better promises: forgiveness and God’s work, through which His law is written on the heart.
The Old and the New Covenant
»The terms of the “old covenant” were: Obey and live […] The “new covenant” was established upon “better promises”—the promise of forgiveness of sins and of the grace of God to renew the heart and bring it into harmony with the principles of the law of God. […] The same law that was engraved upon the tables of stone is written by the Holy Spirit upon the tables of the heart.«
The Covenant at Sinai and the Abrahamic Covenant
»Another covenant—called in Scripture the “old” covenant—was made between God and Israel at Sinai. […] The Abrahamic covenant was ratified by the blood of Christ and is called the “second” or “new” covenant, because the blood by which it was sealed was shed after the blood of the first covenant.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
