What does Ellen White write about...

Adventistische Schriften über: "There is no neutrality; one must take a stand."

Answer

In the spiritual battle and in service to God there is no neutral ground and no middle way. Whoever does not decisively stand for Christ and gather with Him ultimately works against Him and falls under the influence of the enemy. Therefore every believer is called to unmistakably take a stand and devote his entire life to the service of truth.

No neutral ground in service to Christ

»Our Savior said: “By their fruits you shall know them.” And again: “Whoever is not with me is against me.” There is no neutral ground between those who strive with all their might for Christ and those who work for the enemy of souls. Anyone who stands as an idler in the Lord’s vineyard does not merely do nothing himself, but is an obstacle to those who strive to work.«

No neutrality in the work of Christ

»In the work of Christ there can be no neutrality, no middle way. He declared: “Whoever is not with me is against me; and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” Jesus saw and read, as in an open book, the motives of those before Him, whose conscience He pronounced guilty.«

No life on neutral ground

»No one lives for themselves. No life is lived on neutral ground. Our ideas about life may be influenced by the enemy of all righteousness, so that we do not recognize its tremendous importance; but even if we are not awake to the significance of life, it remains true that we cannot cast off our responsibility...«

No right to neutrality for followers of Christ

»Should not the counsel of Christ have an effect on the congregations? Why do you, who know the truth, lag on both sides? “If the Lord is God, walk after Him; but if it is Baal, walk after Him.” Followers of Christ have no right to stand on the ground of neutrality. There is more hope for an open enemy than for someone who is neutral.«

Decision between truth and error

»There is no path of neutrality or peace with both sides when the question of truth and error reaches the crossroads. In those days the spirit of prophecy said: “When God’s people are fully awake to the danger of the hour and work entirely on Christ’s side, a sharp contrast will be seen between their way and that of those who say: ‘Good Lord and good devil’...”«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
