What does Ellen White write about...

Adventistische Schriften über: "The user prays to Jesus about her alcohol consumption, guilt, fear that Jesus will leave her, exhaustion, and difficulties reading the Bible. She asks for help and forgiveness."

Answer

Jesus never turns away from a person who comes to Him in prayer with a sincere heart and repentance, but He forgives the guilt and bears the crushing burden. Even when prayers are imperfect or stammering and exhaustion prevails, Christ lovingly represents the seeker before the Father. Also in the fight against addictive habits such as alcoholism, God promises to overcome human weakness with His divine power and grant new freedom.

Jesus hears every sincere prayer and forgives

»Every sincere prayer is heard in heaven. It may not be fluently phrased; but if the heart is present, it will rise to the sanctuary where Jesus serves, and He will present it to the Father without a single clumsy, stammering word, fragrant through the incense of His own perfection. [...] Out of love for Christ, the Lord forgives those who fear Him. He does not see in them the vileness of the sinner. He recognizes in them the image of His Son, in whom they believe.«

Rest for the Burdened and Forgiveness of Guilt

»‘Come to me, all who are weary and burdened; I will refresh you.’ The Savior left no one feeling excluded from His care and love. [...] The heaviest burden is the burden of sin. If we had to carry it, it would crush us. Yet the sinless One has taken our place. [...] He has borne the weight of our guilt. He also wants to bear the burden of worry and sorrow. [...] He knows from experience the weaknesses of humanity, our needs, and the strength of our temptations [...]. Are you tempted? He will rescue. Are you weak? He will strengthen.«

Freedom from harmful habits through God's power

»Jesus still pities and loves you. [...] Your strong enemy has bound you, but in Jesus' name shake off these chains and be a free person. [...] You cannot overcome in your own strength. The Lord will give you His power when you sincerely repent and earnestly seek it. [...] You are still not forgotten by your heavenly Father. [...] You are now weak, but God is waiting to make you strong.«

Pouring out the soul and all worries before Jesus

»The Lord gives us the privilege to seek Him personally in earnest prayer, to pour out our souls before Him and hold nothing back, who has invited us: ‘Come to me, all who are weary and burdened; I will refresh you.’ Oh how grateful we should be that Jesus is willing and able to bear all our weaknesses and strengthen us [...]. Whatever your fears and trials are, lay your case before the Lord.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
