Ellen Gould White über: "The three persons in the deity"
Answer
Adventist writings describe God as a cooperation of three distinct, living persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These are referred to as the “heavenly trio” and as the three highest powers in heaven, who work together in the salvation and sanctification of humanity.
Especially the Holy Spirit is explicitly identified as the “third person of the deity,” without whose divine power victory over sin would not be possible. Believers are baptized in the name of these three powers, who stand beside all who have devoted their lives unreservedly to God.
The three living persons of the heavenly trio
»The Comforter, whom Christ promised to send after He ascended into heaven, is the Spirit in the full fullness of the deity, who reveals the power of divine grace to all those who accept Christ as personal Savior and believe in Him. There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—those who accept Christ through living faith are baptized.«
The Holy Spirit as the third person of the deity
»Sin could only be resisted and overcome through the mighty mediation of the third person of the deity, which would come not with weakened energy but in the fullness of divine power. It is the Spirit who makes effective what was accomplished by the Redeemer of the world. Through the Spirit the heart is purified.«
Cooperation with the three highest powers
»We are to cooperate with the three highest powers in heaven—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—and these powers will work through us and make us co‑workers of God.«
The presence of the deity in overcoming
»The presence of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the three highest powers in the universe and in whose name the believer is baptized, is promised to every struggling soul. It will grant grace and strength to all who remain vigilant in prayer and cleanse the soul through obedience to the truth.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
