The relationship between education and redemption is, according to Ellen G. White, of fundamental unity: In the highest sense, the work of education and the work of redemption are one, because both are built upon Jesus Christ as the foundation. The goal of both is identical – the restoration of the image of God in humanity, the promotion of the development of body, mind, and soul. True education, therefore, is an experiential knowledge of the plan of redemption and leads to character transformation that equips a person to become a co‑worker with Christ.
