Ellen Gould White über: "The call 'The church is Babylon' is still too early"

Answer

The claim that the Seventh-day Adventist community is "Babylon" is decisively rejected in the writings of Ellen G. White. She describes such a message as a deception of Satan, aimed at creating confusion and tearing down God's work rather than building it up.

Although a future time is described when the call "Go out from her, my people" will sound loudly, this refers to religious organizations that have rejected the truth and become fully allied with the world. Labeling the Adventist church itself as Babylon is classified as a false theory that was not given by God.

The warning against the false message

»My brother, if you teach that the Seventh-day Adventist community is Babylon, you are wrong. God has not given you such a message to carry. Satan will use any mind he can gain access to, inspiring people to devise false theories or go astray, so that he creates a false agitation and thus distracts souls from the true issue for this time.«

Satanic deception to create confusion

»My brother, I learn that you hold the position that the Seventh-day Adventist community is Babylon and that all who wish to be saved must depart from it. You are not the only man whom the devil has deceived in this matter. In the past forty years, man after man has arisen claiming that the Lord sent him with the same message; but let me tell you, as I have told them, that this message you proclaim is one of the satanic deceptions intended to sow confusion among the churches.«

The danger of tearing down what has been built

»For years I have given my testimony that those who claim to have great light yet advocate tearing down what the Lord has built through His human instruments are severely deceived and are not working in the pathways where Christ works. Those who claim that the Seventh-day Adventist churches represent Babylon or any part of Babylon would be better off staying at home.«

The complete fall of Babylon in the future

»Only when this condition is reached and the union of the church with the world throughout all Christianity is accomplished will the fall of Babylon be complete. The change is progressive, and the perfect fulfillment is still in the future.«

The loud call to leave Babylon

»This points to the time when, as a result of rejecting the triple warning... the church will have fully reached the condition foretold by the second angel, and God's people who are still in Babylon will be called to separate from their fellowship. This message is the last one ever to be given to the world.«
