We stand on the threshold of significant and solemn events, as the prophetic chain of history is fulfilled into the future. The signs of the times, such as wars, natural disasters, and social unrest, announce the imminent return of Christ and an upcoming worldwide crisis. Particularly highlighted are future conflicts over religious liberty and the sealing of God's servants before the final great battle.
The Fulfillment of Prophecy and Coming Crises
The history that the great I AM has drawn in His Word, uniting it link by link in the prophetic chain, from eternity in the past to eternity in the future, tells us where we stand today in the progression of ages and what to expect in the coming time. Everything that prophecy has foretold up to the present has been traced on the pages of history, and we can be certain that everything that is yet to come will be fulfilled in its order.
We stand on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecy is being fulfilled quickly. The Lord is at the door. Soon a time of overwhelming interest for all living beings will open before us. The controversies of the past will revive; new controversies will arise. The scenes that will unfold in our world have not even been imagined. Satan is at work through human instruments.
Everything in our world is in agitation. There are wars and rumors of war. Nations are angry, and the time of the dead has come, that they should be judged... The four winds are still being held back until God's servants are sealed upon their foreheads. Then the powers of the earth will marshal their forces for the final great battle.
We live in the time of the end. The rapidly fulfilling signs of the times proclaim that Christ's coming is near... Disasters on land and sea, the unstable condition of society, the war alarms are ominous. They foretell approaching events of the greatest magnitude.
A great crisis awaits God's people. A crisis awaits the world. The most consequential battle of all times lies directly before us... The issue of enforcing Sunday sanctification has become a matter of national interest and national significance. We well know what the outcome of this movement will be.
At times I will be carried far ahead into the future and shown what will take place. Then again I will be shown things as they occurred in the past.
