What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "Should one maintain contact with people who persistently lie and cheat, and greet them?"
Answer
People who deliberately lie and cheat pose a danger to the character and faith of others, therefore one should avoid close association with them so as not to be negatively influenced by their behavior. However, if business or necessary contacts with worldly‑minded people are unavoidable, one should remain vigilant and represent God's principles through a friendly, courteous, and Christian demeanor. The goal is to be present in the world without seeking their corrupt practices or fellowship with those who could undermine the faith.
Avoiding Bad Influences
»Our great adversary has agents who are constantly looking for an opportunity to destroy souls, like a lion hunting its prey. Avoid them, young man; for while they may seem to be your friends, they will secretly introduce evil ways and practices. ... Spend no hour in the company of those who would render you unsuitable for the pure and holy work of God.«
Politeness in Necessary Contact
»Those whose business requires them to come into contact with worldly people should constantly be on guard... If they are forced to be in the company of those who do not honor the Lord Jesus Christ, they will be given special wisdom. Every one of their actions should reveal the fact that they are Christians. They should be friendly and courteous in all that they say and do, and demonstrate that they are under God's control and discipline.«
The Consequences of Untruthfulness
»He who speaks falsehoods sells his soul on a cheap market. His falsehood may seem to serve in emergencies. ... But eventually he reaches the point where he can trust no one. Since he himself is a forger, he has no trust in the word of others.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
