The scriptures indicate that our prayers and petitions should be directed solely to God or Jesus Christ, who is the mediator between God and humanity, while angels carry these prayers to the Father and intervene helpfully on God's behalf. Direct communication and conversation with one's personal guardian angel is not described for the present earthly life, but rather as an experience for the redeemed in eternity. To receive protection and assistance, one should call upon God, who then sends His angels.
