A Christian should not injure or kill animals for sheer amusement, because God created all living beings and cruelty toward the animal world is classified as “satanic.” The intentional infliction of pain contradicts the divine law of love and mercy, according to which a righteous person spares the life of his livestock. Moreover, Christians are called to choose only those leisure activities that do not burden the conscience and for which they can sincerely ask for God’s blessing.
Cruelty toward animals is a sin
»One who abuses animals because he has them under his control is both a coward and a tyrant. A tendency to inflict pain, whether on our fellow humans or on the animal creation, is satanic. Many do not realize that their cruelty will ever be known, because the poor mute animals cannot reveal it.
