Adventistische Schriften über: "Selling Property to Support the Gospel in the End Times"
Answer
In the end times believers are called to use their property to support the gospel, with God making clear to each individual through prayer when and how much should be sold. Those who cling to their possessions instead of using them for the spread of truth will experience that these become a burden in the coming time of tribulation, and a sale will no longer be possible. The purpose of this sacrifice is not to support idleness, but to fund mission work and publications to prepare people for the day of the Lord.
The Danger of Clinging to Property in the End Times
»I saw that God has not required his whole people to sell their property at the same time; but if they were to be instructed, he would teach them in a time of need when and how much they should sell. ... When the matter requires it, it is their duty to sell. I saw that the message: “Sell what you have and give alms,” was not given by some in its clear light. ... The purpose of selling is not to give to those who work and can provide for themselves, but to spread the truth. ... Whoever clings to his property and does not ask the Lord about his duty, He will not reveal the duty to him ... and in the time of tribulation it would rise before them like a mountain to crush them, and they would try to sell it, but would not be able to.«
Urgent Call to Action in Light of the Coming Crisis
»It is now time for our brothers to reduce their possessions rather than increase them. We are about to move into a better land, a heavenly one. ... The time is coming when we can no longer sell at any price. The decree will soon be issued that forbids people to buy or sell, except those who have the mark of the beast. ... Now is our opportunity to work.«
The Responsibility of the Wealthy for God's Work
»But I can say to those to whom God has entrusted goods, who have lands and houses: “Begin with your selling and give alms. Do not hesitate. God expects more from you than you were ready to do.” We call upon you who have means, to ask in earnest prayer: How far does the divine claim extend to me and my property? There is now work to be done to prepare a people to stand on the day of the Lord.«
Warning Against Premature and Thoughtless Selling
»It was Satan's plan in the past to drive some forward with a frantic spirit, so that they would make free use of resources and influence the brothers to hastily sell their property, so that through a flood of resources carelessly and hastily spent, souls could be harmed and lost, and now, as the truth is to be spread more comprehensively, the shortage is felt.«
Readiness for Sacrifices at the End of Earth's History
»In the final emergency, before this work is completed, thousands will gladly be laid on the altar. Men and women will regard it as a blessed privilege to partake in the work of preparing souls for the great day of God, and they will give hundreds as readily as dollars are given today. ... If only they understood how near the end of all work for the salvation of souls is, they would voluntarily sacrifice their possessions as the members of the early church did.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
