Adventistische Schriften über: "Relationship with non‑believing women"
Answer
The Scriptures strongly warn that a god‑fearing person should not enter into a love relationship or marriage with an unbelieving person, as the Bible expressly forbids such an unequal union. The constant influence of an unbelieving partner carries the great danger of gradually undermining one's own faith and leading away from obedience to God. True happiness and spiritual peace in marriage require unity in spirit and in life goals, therefore earthly inclinations should never be placed above God's commandments.
The Danger of an Unequal Union and the Biblical Prohibition
»None who fear God can safely unite with someone who does not fear Him. “Can two walk together, unless they are one with each other?” The happiness and flourishing of the marital relationship depend on the unity of the parties; but between the believer and the unbeliever there is a fundamental difference in taste, inclinations, and goals. They serve two masters, between whom there can be no harmony. No matter how pure and right a person's principles may be, the influence of an unbelieving companion will tend to lead away from God... The marriage of Christians to the godless is forbidden in the Bible. The Lord's instruction is: “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.”«
The Danger of Giving Affection to Unbelievers
»He feels that it would be better to remain unmarried than to bind his life interests to someone who prefers the world over Jesus and would lead away from the cross of Christ. Yet the danger of giving affection to unbelievers is not recognized... Should someone who seeks glory, honor, immortality, and eternal life enter into a relationship with someone who refuses to join the soldiers of Christ's cross? ... Hundreds have sacrificed Christ and heaven because they married unconverted persons. Could it be that the love and fellowship of Christ are so little to them that they prefer the company of poor mortals?«
Good Character Alone Is Not Sufficient Without Conversion
»Those who profess the truth trample God's will when they marry unbelievers; they lose His favor and prepare for bitter remorse. The unbeliever may possess an excellent moral character; but the fact that he or she has not met God's requirements and has neglected such a great salvation is a sufficient reason why such a union should not be entered... Spiritual decline begins the moment the vow is placed on the altar; religious zeal is dampened, and one stronghold after another is demolished until both stand side by side under Satan's black banner.«
The Lesson from Samson's Unwise Choice of Partner
»Just as he entered manhood, at the time when he was to fulfill his divine mission—the time above all others when he should have been faithful to God—Samson allied himself with Israel's enemies. He did not ask whether he could glorify God better if he were united with his chosen object, or whether he placed himself in a situation where he could not fulfill the purpose of his life... But the Lord has clearly instructed His people in His Word not to associate with those in whom His love does not dwell.«
Gradual Loss of Faith Through Secular Alliances
»It is a dangerous matter to enter into a secular alliance. Satan knows very well that the hour in which the marriage of many young men and women takes place concludes the story of their religious experience and usefulness. They are lost to Christ. They may strive for a time to lead a Christian life, but all their efforts are made against a constant influence in the opposite direction. Once it was a privilege and joy for them to speak of their faith and hope; but they become reluctant to mention the topic, knowing that the one with whom they have bound their destiny has no interest in it.«
