Adventistische Schriften über: "Prayer Power of the Holy Spirit"
Answer
The prayer power of the Holy Spirit is decisive, because genuine prayer must not only be in the name of Christ, but under the inspiration of the Spirit who helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us. This divine power gives effectiveness to our efforts and is the prerequisite for every spiritual awakening and personal sanctification. Without the grace of the Holy Spirit we cannot muster true humility or seriousness in prayer, which are necessary to claim God's promises.
Prayer under the Inspiration of the Spirit
»We must not only pray in the name of Christ, but through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. This explains what is meant when it says that the Spirit “intercedes for us with an inexpressible sigh.” Such a prayer God gladly answers. When we breathe a prayer in the name of Christ with seriousness and intensity, that very intensity is a pledge from God that He is ready to answer our prayer “beyond everything we ask or understand.” The Holy Spirit is given to those who seek His power and grace, and He will lift up our weakness when we seek an audience with God.«
Revitalizing Public Prayers through the Spirit
»I urge my brothers in the preaching ministry to improve their way of praying. ... The less heavenly life force there is in a prayer, the longer it usually is. ... Let the prayers spoken publicly be brief and full of seriousness. The effective, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much... Allow a renewal of the Holy Spirit to occur, so that your prayers are filled with the power of heaven.«
Dependence on the Spirit rather than Human Wisdom
»Had you relied less on people whom you ... knew had no living connection to God, and had you relied more on the presence and help of the Holy Spirit as an answer to prayer, the work today would be in a far healthier condition. ... He has promised you effectiveness through the power of the Holy Spirit, which will be with you in every act if you hold onto the confidence you had at the beginning until the end.«
Revival Only as an Answer to Prayer
»A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. Seeking this should be our first work. ... A revival is to be expected only as an answer to prayer. While the people are so needy for God's Holy Spirit, they cannot appreciate the preaching of the word; but when the Spirit's power touches their hearts, then the sermons delivered will not remain without effect.«
The Spirit works inwardly while Christ intercedes in Heaven
»Through the grace of His Holy Spirit, life and light are conveyed, and the soul is filled with a yearning, serious longing for God, for holiness. Then it is that Christ leads us to the throne of grace and clothes us with His righteousness... While Jesus, our intercessor, intercedes for us in heaven, the Holy Spirit works within us the willing and the accomplishing according to His pleasure.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
