We are in the midst of the dangers of the last days, and we must constantly be vigilant and continually pray. It is now unreasonable to joke or engage in sports. You are not careful with your words and deeds. Your life is not prudent and uplifted. You are descending from the dignified, holy position that your confession and your faith demand of you.
Unity and protection from evil speech
Work intelligently to promote the unity of faith and the unity of judgment, so that all are united in the bonds of Christian fellowship and love; but do not diminish God's work through your own ideas and conceptions. Do not let your ears hear gossip from anyone. If everyone were to refuse to hear evil about their neighbor, the storyteller would soon seek another occupation.
