Adventistische Schriften über: "Musical instruments in Solomon's temple service"

Answer

In Solomon's temple service numerous musical instruments were employed, including cymbals, psalteries, harps and 120 trumpets that were sounded by priests. The Levites, clothed in white linen, formed a holy choir that united their voices in perfect harmony with the instruments. This massive musical performance was so unified that it sounded like a single tone and brought forth the glory of God, which filled the temple in the form of a cloud.

The Dedication of the Temple and the Orchestral Accompaniment

The singers – Levites, clothed in white linen, with cymbals, psalteries and harps – stood at the eastern end of the altar, and with them one hundred and twenty priests who sounded trumpets.
It even happened that the trumpeters and singers were as one, to bring a sound to hearing, as they praised the Lord and gave thanks to Him; and when they raised their voices with the trumpets and cymbals and musical instruments and praised the Lord... the house was filled with a cloud, yes, the house of the Lord.
In Solomon's time great skill was shown in blowing the trumpets, so that the sounds of one hundred and twenty trumpets emerged as \"one sound\".
The holy choir united its voices with all kinds of musical instruments to praise God. And while the voices resonated through the temple in harmony with the instruments... the cloud of God's glory took possession of the house.
It is a good thing to thank the Lord ... on a ten-stringed instrument and on the psalter; on the harp with a solemn sound.
