Adventistische Schriften über: "Jesus heals the broken heart through His healing grace. Please comment on this from an Adventist perspective."
Answer
From an Adventist perspective, no earthly good, no talent, and no worldly success can truly heal a broken heart or grant peace of soul. Christ came into the world to uplift the wounded and broken, as His love and grace permeate the entire being with invigorating, restorative power. Moreover, believers are called to pass on this divine compassion and lead the afflicted to Jesus, the physician of the soul.
Christ's Love as a Healing Power for the Broken Heart
»When the gospel is received in its purity and power, it is a remedy for the diseases that arise from sin. The sun of righteousness will rise 'with healing under its wings.' Not everything that this world offers can heal a broken heart, grant peace of soul, remove worries, or drive away disease. Fame, brilliance, talent— all these are powerless to delight a sorrowful heart or restore a shattered life. The life of God in the soul is the only hope for humanity. The love that Christ pours through the entire being is a revitalizing force. It touches every vital part—the brain, the heart, the nerves—with healing. Through it, the highest powers of the being are awakened to activity. It frees the soul from guilt and sorrow, from fear and anxiety that crush the life forces.«
Christ's Work of Healing and Restoration of the Wounded
»This is also true in the spiritual realm. Before sin created the need, God had already provided the remedy. Every soul that yields to temptation is wounded and crushed by the adversary; but wherever sin is, there is also the Redeemer. It is Christ's work to 'heal those whose hearts are broken, to proclaim freedom to the captive, ... and to set the shattered free.' We are to cooperate in this work. ... Only the love that flows from Christ's heart can heal. Only the one in whom this love flows, just as sap in a tree or blood in the body, can restore the wounded soul.«
The Mission of Jesus to Bind Broken Hearts
»Christ came into the world to 'bind the broken hearts, to proclaim freedom to the captive, and to open the prison for the bound.' The sun of righteousness will 'rise with healing under its wings.' The world is full of men and women who bear a heavy load of sorrow, suffering, and sin. God sends His children out to reveal to them the One who will take away the burden and give them rest. It is the commission of Christ's servants to help, to bless, and to heal.«
Jesus as the Physician for the Soul's Illness
»The needs of the soul can only be soothed by Christ's love. When Christ dwells in us, our hearts will be filled with divine compassion. The sealed fountains of sincere, Christ-like love will be opened. There are many from whom hope has fled. Bring back their sunshine. Many have lost their courage. Speak words of comfort to them. Pray for them. There are people who need the bread of life. Read to them from God's Word. Many bear a soul illness that no earthly balm can reach and no doctor can heal. Pray for these souls. Bring them to Jesus. Tell them that there is a balm in Gilead and a physician there.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
