Adventistische Schriften über: "Instruments in the biblical sanctuary"

Answer

In the biblical sanctuary service, musical instruments played a vital role, especially during the dedication of the temple and the accompaniment of holy ceremonies. God commanded Moses in the wilderness to make two silver trumpets to summon assemblies and regulate the people's journeys. Later, under King Solomon, the service was expanded by numerous Levites who employed cymbals, psalteries, harps, and up to 120 trumpets to praise God with harmonious sound.

Musical Instruments and Their Use in Temple Service

In obedience to God's command, Moses made two silver trumpets that were used to summon their assemblies and regulate the journeys of the children of Israel. When the priests blew both trumpets, the whole people were to gather at the entrance of the tabernacle; when only one trumpet sounded, only the princes responded.
In Solomon's time, great skill was demonstrated in blowing the trumpets, so that the sounds of one hundred and twenty trumpets emerged as "one sound".
The singers—Levites, dressed in white linen, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps—stood at the eastern end of the altar, and with them were one hundred and twenty priests who sounded trumpets.
Praise the Lord. Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with psalter and harp. Praise Him with drum and dance: praise Him with string instruments and organs. Praise Him on the brightly sounding cymbals: praise Him on the high sounding cymbals. Everything that has breath, praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
