What does EGW write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "In the end times it will be like in the early church: the Lord added saved people daily."
Answer
In the end times a work will occur that is like the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, whereby many people will be converted within a single day. When the church brings itself into unity with Christ, the power of the early Christians will return and lead to wonderful awakenings. Historical reports from the Advent movement already describe similar scenes in which the Lord added souls to the church daily, just as it was in the early days of the gospel.
Restoration of Pentecostal Power
A work is to be accomplished on earth that is similar to what occurred during the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the days of the first disciples, when they preached Jesus and Him as the Crucified One. Many will be converted in one day; for the message will go forth with power.
Daily Conversions as in Biblical Times
What I am now allowed to witness reminds me of the gospel in the early days, when “the Lord daily added such to the church who were to be saved.”
The Promise of the Late Harvest
If we bring our hearts into unity with Christ and our lives in harmony with His work, the spirit that fell on the disciples on Pentecost will fall upon us. ... Wonderful awakenings will follow. Sinners will be converted, and many souls will be added to the church.
Conversions in Expectation of the Lord
Every day this week souls have been converted to Christ in our gatherings, and the work is progressing in a very pleasing way. The calls for lectures are far more numerous than I can fulfill.
Power for the Present Time
We today, just as certainly as the first disciples, have the promise of the Spirit. God will today equip men and women with power from above, as He equipped those who heard the word of salvation on Pentecost.
