What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "I need the assurance that God has heard my prayers, even though I am afraid that He does not want me and that I have fallen too far. My blood pressure is high because of the unrest."
Answer
No sincere prayer is lost, and God rejects no one who comes to Him with a repentant heart – even the weakest is heard by Him amid the heavenly praise. The fear of having fallen too far or being unworthy is a whisper of the enemy, intended to keep you from praying and trusting. You may release your unrest and fears and rest in faith in Jesus' everlasting love, for He leans toward you with full compassion and mercy.
God hears the prayer of the weakest and unworthy
»Make your concerns known to your Creator. No one is ever rejected who comes to Him with a contrite heart. Not a single sincere prayer is lost. Amid the hymns of the heavenly choir, God hears the cries of the weakest human being. [...] You who feel most unworthy, do not fear entrusting your matter to God.«
Overcoming doubt and discouragement in prayer
»We should not be so overwhelmed by thoughts of our sins and faults that we cease to pray. Some recognize their great weakness and sin and become discouraged. Satan casts his dark shadow between them and the Lord Jesus, their Atonement sacrifice. They say, ‘It is useless for me to pray. My prayers are so full of evil thoughts that the Lord will not hear them.’ These whispers come from Satan. [...] Do not stop praying because your thoughts are evil. If we could pray properly by our own wisdom and strength, we could also live properly and would not need an Atonement sacrifice. But imperfection is upon all humanity.«
Comfort and peace for a discouraged soul
»Poor, trembling soul, rest in God's promises. If you do so, the enemy's chains will be broken and his whispers will be powerless. Do not heed the enemy's whisper. Go into freedom, oppressed soul. Be encouraged. [...] I know that God loves you. Place your trust in Him. Do not dwell on things that bring sorrow and distress; turn away from every unpleasant thought and think of precious Jesus. Remain in His power to save, His immortal, incomparable love for you, yes, specifically for you.«
God's hand rests on you in tender mercy
»The prayer of the penitent, contrite soul is always accepted. [...] If our prayers seem unanswered, we should hold fast to the promise; for the time of hearing will surely come, and we will receive the blessing we need most. [...] At times we may have no remarkable proof that the face of our Savior leans toward us in compassion and love, but it is nonetheless so. We may not feel His visible touch, yet His hand rests on us in love and compassionate tenderness.«
Peace and calm amid the inner storm
»Sin has destroyed our peace. As long as the self is unrestrained, we cannot find rest. [...] Yet He, who spoke peace to the waves of Galilee, has spoken the word of peace to every soul. No matter how fierce the storm, those who turn to Jesus with the cry, ‘Lord, save us!’ will find deliverance. His grace, which reconciles the soul with God, soothes the conflict of human passions, and in His love the heart comes to rest.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
