What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "How can I entrust the guidance of my life to God and keep my relationship with Jesus alive in everyday life?"
Answer
To entrust God with the guidance of your life, a daily and unconditional surrender of your will to Him is necessary. You nurture a vibrant relationship with Jesus through continual prayer, studying His Word, and consciously dwelling in His presence amid your daily responsibilities. By frequently lifting your thoughts to Him and acting according to His example, your character is shaped and your connection to Him strengthened.
Daily Surrender and Connection through Faith
»Christ dwells through faith in your heart. You must maintain this connection with Christ through faith and the continual surrender of your will to Him; and as long as you do this, He will work in you the willing and the accomplishing as He pleases. ... Where not only a belief in God's Word exists, but a subordination of the will to Him; where the heart is given to Him, the affections are directed toward Him, there is faith—a faith that works through love and purifies the soul.«
Consistent Dwelling in Christ in Daily Life
»It is not an occasional touch with Christ that is needed, but rather one must remain in Him. ... He does not offer you fleeting happiness that one occasionally experiences through earnest seeking of the Lord and that fades when one turns to the ordinary duties of life. Your staying in Christ makes every necessary duty easy, for He bears the weight of every burden. This means that you should be aware of a Christ who remains within you, that you are constantly with Christ, where your spirit is encouraged and strengthened.«
The Importance of Daily Prayer
»Daily prayer is as essential for growth in grace and even for the spiritual life itself as temporal food is for physical well‑being. We should become accustomed to frequently lifting our thoughts in prayer to God. When the spirit wanders, we must bring it back; through persistent effort the habit will eventually make it easy. We cannot separate even a moment in safety from Christ.«
Recognizing God's Will through Prayer and Surrender
»Seek Him most earnestly in prayer. He will impress the spirit and grant tongue and expression. ... You must pray for guidance and commit your way to the Lord. You must close your heart against all folly and sin and open it to every heavenly influence. You must make the best of your time and opportunities to develop a balanced character.«
A Life of Fellowship and Reflection
»As thoughts dwell with Christ, character is shaped after the divine image. Thoughts are permeated with a sense of His goodness, His love. We contemplate His character, and thus He is in all our thoughts. ... We have the companionship of the divine presence, and when we become aware of this presence, our thoughts are led into the captivity of Jesus Christ.«
Daily Self‑Denial
»It must be a constant, daily surrender. We must be vigilant men and women who constantly watch over themselves and ensure they seize every opportunity to do good... Jesus loves their souls and He will do a good work for them when they humble themselves under His mighty hand, repent and are converted, and surrender to God each day.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
