Ellen White teaches that God lovingly cares for those little ones who died before birth or in infancy. In visions she saw the resurrection of these children, who at Christ’s second coming are brought by angels into the arms of their mothers. Also children of believing parents who died while still in the womb are, according to her writings, raised and called to immortality.
God’s care for stillborn children
I must tell you a few words, my dear sister, about the little one who was stillborn. The Lord will take care of it. He is a God of love and mercy. It was shown to me that many little ones are laid to rest before the time of tribulation and they will rise.
The resurrection of the children and reunification
When the little infants rise immortal from their dusty beds, they immediately fly into the arms of their mothers. They meet again, never to part again. But many of the little ones have no mother there. We wait in vain for the ecstatic victory song from the mother’s lips. The angels take the motherless infants and lead them to the tree of life.

I saw that the mothers who lost their children in infancy and who had not had the light will receive their children back.

Little children are carried by holy angels into the arms of their mothers. Long separated friends by death are united, never to part again, and ascend with joyful songs together to the city of God.

We followed our child to Oak Hill Cemetery, to rest there until the Giver of Life comes, breaks the bonds of the grave and raises it immortal.
