What does Ellen White write about...

Adventistische Schriften über: "First Chronicles 29:1‑22. What did David do to support the building of the temple? Please answer this question in two sentences."

Answer

David supported the temple construction by gathering enormous quantities of valuable building materials with all his strength and also donating substantial amounts from his personal gold and silver treasury. He also called on the princes and the whole people of Israel to give voluntary gifts for the house of God and publicly praised the Lord with prayers of thank‑and‑blessing.

David’s preparations and personal gifts for the temple construction

»Again David addressed the assembly: “My son Solomon, whom God alone has chosen, is still young and tender, but the work is great; for the palace is not for a man but for God, the Lord.” He said, “I have prepared with all my strength for the house of my God,” and he went on to list the materials he had gathered. Moreover he said, “Because I take pleasure in the house of my God, I am giving from my own possessions of gold and silver for the house of my God—beyond all that I have provided for the holy house—namely three thousand talents of gold, the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings.” “Who now is ready,” he asked the gathered crowd, who had brought their generous gifts, “to consecrate the Lord today with his offering?”«

David’s devotion and provision of rich goods

»The king, with deepest interest, had collected the rich material for the construction and beautification of the temple. He had composed the glorious hymns that would later resound through his courts. Now his heart was gladdened in God, as the heads of the patriarchal families and the princes of Israel responded nobly to his call and presented themselves for the important work.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
