Adventistische Schriften über: "Faith obstacles"

Answer

Faith obstacles often arise from clinging to sin, worldly pursuits, or distrust of God's instruction. Particularly dangerous are obstacles within the church, such as disobedience to God's commandments and the rejection of divine warnings to justify a comfortable lifestyle. However, when people earnestly seek God's will and trust in the power of Christ, these obstacles are overcome by faith.

Dangers within the Church and Causes of Doubt

»We have far more to fear from within than from without. The obstacles to strength and success are much greater within the church itself than in the world. Unbelievers have the right to expect that those who profess to keep God's commandments and the faith of Jesus will do more than any other group to promote and honor the cause they represent through their consistent life, godly example, and active influence. Yet how often have the professing defenders of truth proven to be the greatest obstacle to their own progress! Cultivated unbelief, expressed doubts, and nurtured darkness foster the presence of evil angels and open the way for the execution of Satan's plans.«

Worldly Influences and the Power of Obedience

»There are many obstacles that lie in the path of those who wish to walk in obedience to God's commandments. There are strong and subtle influences that bind them to the ways of the world, but the Lord's power can break these chains. He will remove every obstacle before the feet of His faithful, or give them strength and courage to overcome every difficulty when they earnestly plead for His help. All obstacles will fade before a serious desire and persistent effort to do God's will at any cost for oneself, even if life itself must be sacrificed.«

Inner Obstacles and the Need for Repentance

»God does not abandon us because of our sins. We may make mistakes and grieve His spirit; but if we repent and come to Him with a contrite heart, He will not reject us. There are obstacles that must be removed. False feelings have been nurtured, and there has been pride, self-sufficiency, impatience, and grumbling. All this separates us from God. Sins must be confessed; a deeper work of grace must occur in the heart.«

Doubt as a Result of Self-will

»The Word of God is clear and strict in its limitations; it disturbs your selfish desire for pleasure; therefore you do not obey it. The testimonies of His Spirit draw your attention to the Scriptures, point out your character flaws, and correct your sins; therefore you do not heed them. And to justify your fleshly, comfortable way of life, you begin to doubt whether the testimonies are from God. If you were to obey their teachings, you would have the certainty of their divine origin.«

Overcoming Difficulties Through Faith

»Before the claim of faith, the obstacles that Satan has placed on the Christian's path will disappear; for the powers of heaven will come to his aid. "Nothing will be impossible for you." The way of the world is to begin with pomp and boasting. God's way is to make the day of small things the beginning of the glorious triumph of truth and righteousness. Sometimes He trains His workers by bringing them disappointments and apparent failures. It is His intention that they learn to master difficulties.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
