What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "Explanation of 2 John 1:8"
Answer
The Apostle John warns in his letter against deceivers who reject the teaching of Christ and thereby endanger the church. The exhortation in 2 John 1:8 to watch over oneself serves to not lose what has already been earned through faith, but to receive a full reward in the end. Believers are admonished to remain steadfast in the truth so as not to be led off the right path by false teachings.
Warning against Deception and Loss of Reward
»John was filled with sorrow when he saw how these poisonous errors seeped into the church. He saw the dangers to which the church was exposed, and he responded to the emergency with speed and determination. ... To a helper in the work of the gospel, a woman of good reputation and great influence, he wrote: “Many deceivers have come into the world who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Antichrist. Guard yourselves so that we do not lose what we have worked for, but that we receive a full reward. Whoever transgresses and does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son.”«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
