Ellen Gould White über: "Every follower of Christ is assigned a guardian angel."
Answer
Indeed, every follower of Christ is assigned a personal guardian angel who shields him from the powers of evil and guides him through life. These heavenly guardians accompany believers from their earliest moments, protecting them from visible as well as invisible dangers and recording their deeds. While they do not force a person's will, they gently influence him toward good and remain in constant communion with the heavenly Father.
Heavenly protection for every believer
»Every follower of Christ is assigned a guardian angel. These heavenly guardians shield the righteous from the power of evil. This was even acknowledged by Satan himself when he said: “Do you fear God for Job in vain? Have you not surrounded him and his house and everything he has with protection?”«
Lifelong companionship and service
»Every redeemed one will understand the ministry of angels in his own life. The angel who was his protector from his first moment; the angel who guarded his steps and covered his head on the day of danger; the angel who was with him in the valley of the shadow of death, marked his resting place, and was the first to greet him on the morning of resurrection – what will it be like to converse with him!«
Personal support in the end times
»Every believer who constantly recognizes his dependence on God has his assigned angel, sent from heaven to serve him. The ministry of these angels is now especially important, as Satan makes his final desperate efforts to secure the world.«
Influence on words and actions
»An angel accompanies you and records your words and deeds. [...] If you are in danger of unintentionally doing wrong and exerting an influence that leads others to wrongdoing, your guardian angel will be by your side, urging you toward a better path, choosing your words for you, and influencing your actions.«
Respect for the free-will decision
»I saw that God's angels should not force or bend the will of the individual over whom they watch. They should gently rebuke, warn, and protect. [...] When the will is submitted to them, they will guide it into heavenly pathways and constantly watch over their interests.«
