Adventistische Schriften über: "Ellen White Vision Catholic procession"
Answer
In their writings Ellen White describes historical scenes of Catholic processions, such as the penitential procession of the King of France, who walked barefoot and humbly carrying a burning torch to atone for the alleged sin of his subjects against the Mass. Symbolic visions are also depicted, in which a group of idolaters with black banners confronts faithful Christians who held a white banner of purity. These descriptions often emphasize the contrast between ritual piety and the steadfastness of those who, despite persecution, cling to their faith.
Historical procession and spiritual contrasts
The Host was carried under a magnificent canopy, supported by four princes of the highest rank. Behind them walked the monarch, stripped of his crown and royal garments, with uncovered head and lowered eyes, and he carried a burning candle in his hand. Thus the King of France appeared publicly as a penitent. At each altar he bowed in humility, not because of the vices that stained his soul, not because of the innocent blood that clung to his hands, but because of the mortal sin of his subjects who had dared to condemn the Mass.
It was shown to me in the following way: A large group of pagan idolaters carried a black banner on which images of the sun, moon and stars were visible. This group seemed very grim and angry. Then another group was shown to me, which carried a pure white banner on which was written: “Purity and holiness to the Lord.” ... I saw the pagan idolaters approach them, and there was a great battle. The Christians melted before them; yet the Christian group drew closer together and held the banner more firmly.
