Adventistische Schriften über: "Ellen White: The Time of Tribulation without Mediator"
Answer
When the atoning ministry of Christ ends in the heavenly sanctuary, the faithful followers of God must stand before the holy God without a mediator. In this time their character must be completely cleansed of sin by the blood of Christ and their garments must be spotless. While the plagues fall upon the earth, there is no atoning blood left to cleanse sinners, because the plan of redemption is completed.
Standing without a Mediator
Those who are living on earth when Christ’s intercession in the above sanctuary ceases must stand before a holy God without a mediator. Their garments must be immaculate, their character must be cleansed of sin by the sprinkling blood. By God’s grace and their own diligent effort they must be victorious in the fight with evil. As the investigative judgment proceeds in heaven, as the sins of repentant believers are removed from the sanctuary, a special work of purification and the laying aside of sin is to take place among God’s people on earth.
The End of the Grace Period
Then I saw Jesus lay aside his priestly garment and clothe himself with his most royal robes ... He left the heavens. The plagues fell upon the inhabitants of the earth. [...] The saints had nothing left for them. The last tear for sinners was shed, the last agonizing prayer offered, the last burden borne. The sweet voice of grace no longer invited them. The final warning had been given. [...] Now there was no atoning blood left to cleanse the sinner. No merciful Savior to intercede for them and cry, ‘Spare, spare the sinner a little longer.’ The whole heaven had united with Jesus when they heard the dreadful words: ‘It is done! It is accomplished!’
