What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "Does the election of Israel refer to the present people or the spiritual Israel?"
Answer
The election of Israel, according to the understanding of these scriptures today, refers to the \"spiritual Israel\", which consists of all believing followers of Christ, regardless of their ancestry. While the literal nation of Israel lost its privileges through disobedience and the rejection of Christ, the covenant promises are now fulfilled in the church of God, which is composed of faithful people from all nations. True Israelites are therefore those who have been spiritually reborn through faith in Christ and do His will.
The Spiritual Israel as Heir of the Promises
»What God intended to do for the world through Israel, the chosen people, He will ultimately accomplish today through His church on earth. ... These witnesses for God are counted as the spiritual Israel, and in them all the covenant promises given by Jehovah to His ancient people will be fulfilled. Today the church of God is free to carry out the divine plan to save a lost race.«
Who is a True Israelite
»The word \"Israel\" means \"a prince of God\" or \"one who overcomes\". ... Therefore an overcomer is an Israelite; and the promise is that Christ will grant those who are Israelites to sit with Him on His throne. ... Therefore it must be that all of God's saints will form the people of Israel over which Christ will reign.«
The Modern Israel
»It has been shown to me that those who strive to obey God and cleanse their souls through obedience to the truth are God's chosen people, the modern Israel. God says of them through Peter: \"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession...\«
End of the Spiritual Preference of the Literal Israel
»The salvation of Israel spoken of here is not the conversion of the Jews, but the gathering of the holy seed into the heavenly inheritance through the resurrection of the righteous. ... The Jew no longer has a claim to the promise as Ishmael after Isaac's birth or Esau, after Jacob was chosen by God. ... When the kingdom is restored, it will not be restored to the Jews.«
Spiritual Grafting Instead of Natural Descent
»The Jews, the natural branches, will become part of the tree, but when they do so, it will not be as original branches, but as spiritual graftings. Thus the people of Israel will be only a spiritual people, those who belong to Christ, \"and so the whole Israel will be saved.\«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
