Answer
Every person who comes into this world is assigned a guardian angel to watch over and guide them. These heavenly beings have the mission to especially protect those who follow Christ and are to inherit salvation. While the angels faithfully watch over everyone, they can, however, be driven away by a person through persistent deviation from their counsel and the path of evil.
The role of guardian angels for each individual
Every person who comes into the world is assigned a guardian angel. These heavenly beings have a mission to fulfill; they have a work to do that they never neglect. They are to watch over those for whom Christ died and who will be heirs of salvation.
Every follower of Christ is assigned a guardian angel. These heavenly watchers shield the righteous from the power of evil. [...] The mediation by which God protects His people is expressed in the words of the Psalmist: “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and helps them out.”
Every redeemed person will understand the ministry of angels in his own life. The angel who was his protector from his first moment; the angel who guarded his steps and covered his head on the day of danger; the angel who was with him in the valley of the shadow of death, who marked his resting place, and who greeted him as the first on the morning of the resurrection.
I saw that God's angels should not force or bend the will of the individual over whom they watch. They should gently rebuke, warn, and guard. [...] If these persons continue to offend these tender, holy angels, if they deviate from their counsel and warnings and choose their own independent course, they will drive those angels away from themselves.
An angel accompanies you and records your words and deeds. [...] If you are in danger of unintentionally doing wrong, your guardian angel will be by your side and urge you toward a better path, choose your words for you, and influence your actions.
