Answer
Each follower of Christ is assigned a personal guardian angel who protects them from the power of evil and forwards their prayers to the heavenly Father. The heavenly host watches over the human family with special care and offers spiritual guidance to all, so that no one is left at the whim of Satan. However, these angels respect human free will: if someone stubbornly rejects divine counsel and goes their own independent ways, these holy guardians can eventually be driven away.
The Ministry of Guardian Angels
Each follower of Christ is assigned a guardian angel. These heavenly watchers shield the righteous from the power of evil. Satan himself acknowledged this when he said, "Do you fear God for Job in vain? Have you not surrounded him and his house and all that he has with protection?
Every redeemed person will understand the ministry of angels in his own life. The angel who was his protector from the first moment; the angel who guarded his steps and covered his head on the day of danger; the angel who was with him in the valley of the shadow of death, who marked his resting place, and who was the first to greet him on the morning of resurrection.
God has recorded many reports in His inspired Word to teach us that the human family is the object of the special care of the heavenly angels. Man is not left to become a plaything of Satan’s temptations. The whole heaven is actively engaged in providing light to the inhabitants of the world, so that they do not remain in the midnight darkness without spiritual guidance.
I saw that God's angels must not force or bend the will of the person over whom they watch. They are to gently rebuke, warn, and guard. [...] If these persons continue to offend these tender, holy angels, if they deviate from their counsel and warnings and choose their own independent course, they will drive these angels away from themselves.
An angel accompanies you and keeps a record of your words and deeds. When you rise in the morning, do you feel your helplessness and your need for strength from God? [...] If so, the angel notes your prayers, and [...] your guardian angel will be at your side and encourage you toward a better path, choose your words for you, and influence your actions.
