Adventistische Schriften über: "Describe Jesus' character and what makes him special"

Answer

Jesus Christ unites divinity and humanity in His person, being born as a helpless child in Bethlehem while remaining the divine Son of God. He lived a perfectly sinless life, was tempted in every way like us, without ever sinning, and faced every temptation with the Word of God and perfect obedience. His character is marked by patience, cheerfulness, gentleness, lowliness of spirit, love, and perfect humility. Thus, He is not only a compassionate High Priest who knows our weaknesses but also the perfect example in whose image believers can be transformed.

God and man united in Christ

\n

»In Him, God and man became one, and in this fact lies the hope of our fallen race. When we look at Christ in the flesh, we see God in humanity and behold in Him the radiance of divine glory, the express image of God the Father... Though He was the majesty of heaven, the King of glory, He became a child in Bethlehem... But at every stage of His development, He was perfect, with the simple, natural grace of a sinless life.«

Sinless life and victory over temptation

\n

»The Savior took upon Himself the infirmities of humanity and lived a sinless life so that people would not have to fear that they could not overcome due to the weakness of human nature. Christ came to make us "partakers of the divine nature," and His life demonstrates that humanity, united with divinity, does not commit sin... All the temptations of Satan were met by Christ with the Word of God. By trusting in God's promises, He received power to obey God's commandments, and the tempter could gain no advantage. His response to every temptation was: "It is written.«

Perfect humility and obedience without sin

\n

»By taking on human nature in its fallen state, Christ did not participate in its sin in the slightest... He was touched with the feeling of our infirmities and was tempted in every way like us. Yet He was without blemish. There must be no slightest concern regarding the perfect freedom from sinfulness in Christ's human nature... This holy Representative is able to save to the uttermost, for He presented to the wondering universe perfect and complete humility in His human character and perfect obedience to all of God's requirements.«

Patience, compassion, and transforming character

\n

»He was always patient and cheerful, and the afflicted welcomed Him as a messenger of life and peace... For we have no high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses; but One who was tempted in every way like us, yet without sin... We should continually look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; for by looking to Him, we will be transformed into His image, our character will become like His... It is the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, whom Jesus said He would send into the world, who transforms our character into the image of Christ; and when this is accomplished, we reflect, as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
