What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "Commentary on John 15:5"
Answer
According to Ellen G. White, John 15:5 describes the believer’s life-essential connection with Christ: just as a branch can live and bear fruit only on the vine, so human beings receive spiritual life and strength from Christ. To abide in Christ means to live each day in faith and fellowship with Him and to depend on Him. The fruit that results is a character shaped by God’s Spirit; separated from Christ, we can do nothing.
Christ, the Vine, and Believers, the Branches
»The branch cannot live when separated from the vine; neither can you live unless you abide in me. […] If we have the Spirit of Christ, we shall bring forth the fruit of righteousness, a fruit that honors and blesses humanity and glorifies God.«
Connection with Christ Through Faith
»The imparting of life, strength, and fruitfulness from the trunk to the branches is uninterrupted and constant. […] So it is with the relationship of the true believer to Christ. He abides in Christ and draws his nourishment from Him. This spiritual relationship can be established only through the exercise of personal faith.«
Abiding in Christ and Growing Spiritually
»Our growth in grace, our joy, our usefulness—all depend on our union with Christ. Through communion with Him, daily, hourly—by abiding in Him—we are to grow in grace.«
The Fruit of Abiding in Christ
»What is the “much fruit” that we are to bear? It is fruit of a heavenly nature, the result of a life sanctified by the Holy Spirit of God.«
The Fruit That Pleases God
»Connection with Christ is an absolute necessity if the fruit we bear is to be acceptable to God. Connection with Him leads to purity of heart and a blameless life. What is the fruit that God expects? “Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
