The purpose of this revelation is to lead every person to perfection through the effective power of Christ.
The Revelation of the Hidden Mystery
In the days of Christ and His apostles the mystery of God was revealed in a fullness that had never been known before, and was preached “to all nations for the obedience of faith.” From the beginning of the world until that time this mystery was “hidden in God,” “hidden from ages and generations,” but then was “made known to His saints,” to whom “God wanted to make known what the richness of the glory of this mystery is among the Gentiles; which is: Christ in you, the hope of glory...”
To complete the work that God requires of them, preachers must be qualified for their position. The Apostle Paul speaks in his letter to the Colossians about his ministry: “… the mystery that was hidden from the ages and from the generations, now revealed to His saints; to whom God wanted to disclose what the richness of the glory of this mystery is among the Gentiles, namely Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
